...change or reset my MESA password?
You will need to visit http://password.gmu.edu and follow the First Time User instructions to create a MESA password. If you forget your password, you will go to this web site to reset.

...log into MESA?
When you first turn on your computer, you will have to press Ctrl + Alt + Delete for the login window to appear. Please enter your User name (which is your e-mail name preceeding @gmu.edu), your Password, and from the Log on to drop down menu, select "GMU.EDU (Kerberos Realm)" as shown in the screen at the right.

...access my files?
In addition to your local drives (that is, your A:, C:, and D: drives), y our computer now has an M: drive (shown at right). The M: drive is a network drive, and this is where you should store your documents. This drive is secure and is backed up on a daily basis. The mydata folder on your M: drive is your personal space and can only be viewed by you.

...restore a deleted file?
If you accidentally delete a file from your M: drive, you can recover it by accessing the yesterdays_backup folder. If you you require an earlier version (such as a file from one week earlier), please contact the ITU Support Center to have the file restored.
